As a licensed clinical psychologist, I believe strongly in the power of therapy to lead to greater self-awareness and to relieve symptoms including depression and anxiety. For therapy to be effective, however, there must be a warm and trusting relationship between the therapist and patient. In the 20 years I have been a therapist, I have successfully treated children, adolescents, adults and families with a wide range of mental health issues. While the underlying concerns vary from patient to patient, the key to therapy is always providing a nurturing environment in which patients feel safe expressing their emotions. I work with children, adolescents, adults and families on a wide range of mental health issues, including depression, anxiety and behavioral concerns. I also perform psychological and neuropsychological assessment to assist in evaluating mental health concerns.

Have you ever felt that even with therapy, medication, or the combination of both that there are these underlying patterns that you just can’t seem to shake? Perhaps you have tried on your own, found short-term success, but eventually fell back into your old patterns? Have you ever felt down about yourself as a result and found yourself asking “will I ever change?” While I believe you are enough as you are and do not need to change who you are at the core, there are often thoughts, feelings, and behaviors we fall into that are possible to recognize and change when you are determined and ready to make the first step! I use an integrative approach, drawing on attachment based and other evidenced based treatments to help individuals, couples, and families identify agreed upon therapeutic goals, build insight into their emotional states, provide in-session skills that can be used outside of the office, and collaborating to assign weekly, attainable objectives. Whether you are interested in individual, couples, or family therapy, I aim to move at a pace you feel comfortable with and to create a calming, non-judgmental environment where you feel safe enough to have a voice and be transparent with your needs. I am committed to working with you to begin your journey towards positive, long-lasting life change!
